The South Australian Tourism Commission free Adelaide City Tour takes you on a self drive narrated tour of the Adelaide City Centre and surrounds, providing a local’s perspective on the city’s sites and attractions. The audio narrative is triggered as you approach sites of interest, providing not only easy directions around the City Centre and surrounds, but a broad array of interesting stories and interviews with local characters as you travel.

The tour takes about 60 minutes to drive and can be started from any position. Patrons are guided around the city and delivered back to their starting position when complete. Guidance is also provided to the CBD from the city’s entrance points: the Adelaide Airport, the Tollgate at the bottom of the Adelaide Hill’s Freeway, and Main North Road. Simply engage the app as you approach the outskirts of the city, and the guide takes over. You don’t even need to refer to the map as you drive, as your guide will direct turn by turn so that you can relax and enjoy the tour.
